Located at Brudenell Point is the National Historic site of Jean Pierre Roma, who established an international trading post in the area in 1732. Today many events take place on the site and an interpretive centre, picnic areas, and 9km of walking trails are available for public use.  The walking trails are split into three different sections. The Heritage Trail is a 1.0km loop that runs along the Brudenell River. The Brudenell River, together with Cardigan and Montague-Valleyfield, is included in the Three Rivers – Canadian Heritage Rivers network which became designated in 2004.  Visitors then have the opportunity to continue onto The River Trail which is a 3.2km loop. Within this loop, there are multiple shortcuts to allow for an earlier return. This trail lets hikers reach the very northern tip of the property before turning inland back to the start.  A 1.5km out-and-back trail, known as the Bog Run, is also accessible from the River Trail.
