Beck Trail is located off Route 4, Commercial Road, near Murray River. This 10km trail is established on former family farmland dating back to 1880 and was preserved as the John J. and Annie Beck Natural Area in October 2009. The trail consists of two loops, the front loop (red) is 4.6km long and rated as beginner/intermediate difficulty and the back loop (blue) is 5.4km long and rated intermediate/expert difficulty. This trail is designed to be challenging to cyclists and is home to the Downeaster Mountain Bike Race, however, it is also ideal and open to hikers, walkers, runners and snowshoers.
